Indian Wells, California – Rafael Nadal, the defending champion at Indian Wells, is still standing and he hopes to remain in contention until the business end, capping his run with a second consecutive BNP Paribas Open title. He is two victories away from negotiating a premier position in Sunday’s finale.

Marseille, France – Home favourite Gael Monfils is set to bid for a spot in the Open 13 quarterfinals. He will be hoping to join compatriots Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Michael Llodra, who already booked their passage into the final eight on Wednesday.

Johannesburg, South Africa – Dustin Brown and Somdev Devvarman are not exactly worldwide household names – save for (maybe) in their native countries Jamaica and India, respectively – but that has not stopped either player from punching above his weight class to coolly run into the quarterfinals in Johannesburg.

Zagreb, Croatia – The marquee quarterfinal billing at the PBZ Zagreb Indoors is the clash between home favourites Marin Cilic and Ivo Karlovic.

Roger Federer produced an immaculate performance against Lleyton Hewitt to book his quarter-final place at the Australian Open, however all eyes will be on Andy Murray as he looks to silence Spaniard Rafael Nadal and set up a possible semi-final with Andy Roddick or Marin Cilic.

Murray has a losing record against Nadal but his game should theoretically match up well with the Pearl Of Manacor and Talksport’s Simon Mundie explains why in the podcast.
