Nick Lester - French Open Semi-final preview

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

Sky Sports commentator Nick Lester is in Roland Garros covering the tennis and took a bit of time out of his schedule to preview both the men’s and women’s French Open semi-finals.

For the first time since 2006 the top four seeds in the men’s side of the draw have progressed to this stage however, with doubts over Andy Murray’s fitness, Nick is confident Rafael Nadal is a strong favourite in his semi.

Men’s French Open Tournament Winner – Who will win the title?

Friday, June 3rd, 2011

For the first time in roughly six years Rafael Nadal, the World No.1 and five-time defending champion, is not the outright betting fave in tennis betting markets. Sportsbooks, across all platforms, seem to think that Novak Djokovic – the indisputable real time No.1 player this season – is the one to beat and the one most likely to win the 2011 French Open.

Men’s French Open draw and scores 2011

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

The Men’s French Open (or Tournoi de Roland-Garros, as the locals call it) is without doubt the highlight of the clay-court season, and the super-stars of tennis are out in force for the 110th edition of the prestigious grand slam.

Since his Davis Cup victory earlier in the year, Novak Djokovic (11/8) has looked a new man - a force to be reckoned with - and as such, Rafael Nadal’s (11/10) reign as owner of the Roland Garros could be coming to an end.

Nadal is still favourite to defend his title, but Djokovic is right there with him, pushing Roger Federer (12/1) and Andy Murray out to a massive 14/1 to steal the spoils in France.

Djokovic has the opportunity to become the world number one in the coming weeks and if the Serb was to take the title, he would break the record for the longest winning streak on all surfaces.

Will Novak Djokovic continue his fantastic winning run in France and topple Rafael Nadal?

Running from 23 May until 5 June, the fortnight promises to be an exciting feast of fast and furious tennis, and you can follow your favourite player using the draw below.
